The Road of Life Can be a Beautiful and Exciting Experience…

Written by Jimmie Burroughs

The Road of Life can be a Beautiful and Exciting Experience… although sometimes it can be a little disconcerting with all the twists and turns, but the excitement of not knowing what’s next can add a bit of adventure. At any rate life is an exciting adventure at every turn in the road. The attitude we have about life though determines how exciting it is. We can look at life with a jaded eye of disdain or we can see it as an opportunity to experience it fully, enjoying every little twist and turn of the road even up to the very end. Death itself can become the ultimate adventure when life is over.

“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.”Jawaharial Nehru

Our journey on this earth is very short; far too short to be wasted on the trivial. Many think that it is all about making a lot of money and finally retiring to enjoy it. It seems that it is always the future that will ultimately usher in the real purpose. I have some news for you, if that is what you believe; if you aren’t enjoying the trip now, you probably never will.

Each phase of life is an adventure with its challenges and purpose, and all of it is to be lived in the presence and enjoyed. If you think that you have to wait until retirement, you won’t have much time then remaining as a rule to enjoy anything. Most die within 5 years after retirement. Don’t put your life off!

“Adventure is a path. Real adventure – self-determined, self-motivated, often risky – forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind – and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.”
Mark Jenkins

It is ironic that most of us enjoy watching a movie and seeing how others meet the challenges and problems of life but don’t take the same interest in our own life and the challenges we face. Life, like a movie, would be a lot less interesting if there were no challenges at all and no problems to solve

Life for me has been an experience of going, doing, seeing and experiencing a whole gambit of different places and things. I’ve seen the country from coast to coast and from shiny sea to shiny sea and most of the national locations of beauty. I have met the people, talked with them and gotten to know them.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”Mark Twain

Sure there have been some hard times, some sad times, some lonely times, but then that is all part of the road of life experiences; sometimes it is beautiful and yet lonely and sometime somewhat dangerous when we feel like we are living right on the edge.

I remember the day I met the love of my life and later became her soul mate for life. I remember the birth of my first child and how I couldn’t wait to come home at lunch just to peer into her crib for a while. Then I remember the excitement of my son when he came into my life and all the baseball, football and wrestling matches and camping out.

Oh yeah there was also the death of by dearest friend ever, my wife, after 44 years of being together. It was the sadist time of my life but it taught me a new experience and prepared me for a brand new phase of my life which has also been exciting.

“All the pathos and irony of leaving one’s youth behind is thus implicit in every joyous moment of travel: one knows places all the time.” that the first joy can never be recovered, and the wise traveler learns not to repeat successes but tries newPaul Fussell

Many of my family and friends have come into my life and then have gone by the way of death but new friends come along, new challenges and new purpose and life goes on slowly taking every bend of the winding road, never knowing what to expect around next the bend.

There are three articles that you need to read on this site: Did I love? did I live? did I matter? I think they will give you a new perspective about what life is really about.

I was in an office many years ago and there was a plaque on the wall inscribed with large letters which read: “There are no guarantees in life but every day of life is a precious gift so enjoy it while you can”. How true! In between the hard times, the sad times and the difficult times there will be plenty of room to enjoy life and experience all the excitement and joy that it is meant to be.

The Road of Life can be a Beautiful and Exciting Experience…but it is all up to you and what you decide to make it.

I have great confidence in the progress you are going to make.

Hey, I was looking through your site and I think I have a pretty good idea for it. Actually, I have a really good idea for it. Have you considered formatting your website for mobile sites? You’d be crazy if you didn’t. That’s my main source of bread these days :-). I spent about 20 minutes to get it working right and added a stupid little code. Guess what, I’m averaging about $500 a week now from a blog that was doing $20/day (on a good day). Here is where I got my ideas: http://sn.im/thetruthaboutbigcashathome No shenanigans, I really am making good money online with this, I just thought I’d show you guys how I’m doing it. Lemme know if you need any help by the way (email, etc…)

Hey, I really like the content on this site and its design. I was wondering if you’d be interested in getting paid for some of them or just article work. We usually start employees at about $400-$500 USD a week but this can increase if you’re good. Go here immediately:http://sn.im/getpaid1000weekly because I can’t hold the position for much longer (my boss wants this filled by Sunday at 3 pm).

Hey! I saw your website and I thought I should pass along something you’ll definitely be interested in. I’ve been trying to find decent ways to make money online for a while and I wasn’t successful until I came across http://InstantGlobalCashMachine.com The guy’s a genius, plain and simple and thank GOD the site is moved to a permanent location. Here’s just one method he shared with me..So do you know those bidding sites where you can get ipads, iphones and cameras really cheap? I’ve been buying there and flipping them on ebay and craigslist lol! My last item flipped was the ipad 2 and I brought in $400 profit from that hahah, pre sold on ebay before I even had to pay the bidding site :). It’s a decent way to get some initial capital anyway if you’re scrambling for a little cash like me. Definitely check him out, it’s FREE and he dispenses nothing but great info. Just thought I’d share it with you, hope you’re having a great day and have an awesome week!!

Hey! I loved your post; it’s better than 90% of the other blog posts I read (and I mean it)! I didn’t see a contact form so I hope you don’t mind me posting here. My hubby insisted that I offer you some advice. Both of us have been into blogging since 2004, so it’s safe to say we’re a bit talented and skillful. Both of us live extremely comfortably just by posting on our blogs. I wanted to let you know there’s a couple changes you can make to your blog that would increase revenue by about triple whatever you’re making right now! There’s this site called http://bit.ly/renVcO – it tripled (almost even quadrupled!) the revenue for all my blogs within just a couple days. I made $382 just yesterday, and some days I’ve made over $500! Basically you just plug your site URL into the software and choose your niche, and using its tools it’ll generate a phenomenal amount of traffic and revenue. Cool, huh? I just learned about it a few weeks ago and I never plan on running a blog without it again. 🙂 Take care and good luck!

Jesus, somebody call ma, really love this blog :-)! But hey bud, I got some bad news, you’re really missing out of a lot of visitors. I’m a blogger myself and I spend a lot of time making and reading them, ones like The Road of Life Can be a Beautiful and Exciting Experience… | JimmieBurroughs.com. I recently got a new tool and it’s done *wonders* to my entire business, this crazy thing is SO much more powerful and better. It’s only been a week but my revenue has gone up to $258.11 $$CASH$$, all in one day! So want me to do you a favor? Ok, here’s my big secret, where I learned all my tricks: –>> http://bit.ly/pPrmus <– Just giving your site a look I can tell you'll probably pull in a couple hundred bucks a month if you just spend a few minutes tweaking some stuff. Damn, I feel like I just made someone's day today. But keep it a secret! I don't want too many people using it. William Mallard
