An Unbiased State of the Union

As I have stated before, I am neither Democrat nor Republican. However, I must say that I am disappointed with the Democrats while being a little less unhappy with the Republicans. Why can’t they put aside partisan ideology long enough to do something to help the welfare of the people of this country? I sometime get the feeling that many of those we send to Washington to represent our interest are inept and overpaid.

Over the years, it has always been my policy to vote for the person I felt was the most qualified. However, for several years now, I have consistently voted Republican for two primary reasons: First, the Democratic party has become far too liberal. Second, Democratic candidates condone abortion and same-sex marriage, which I believe are against the teachings of the Bible. 

Since this article is about President Biden and his administration, I need to point out that I believe it is wrong to condemn President Biden as a person. However, I think that honestly addressing the conditions that any president and his administration brings on our nation is needed and the right thing to do. The bad policies of President Biden have had their consequences. It is hard for me to even imagine how anyone cannot acknowledge the hard times that have fallen on the United States in the previous year regardless of what political party with which they may be affiliated.

A little over a year ago, one of the first things President Biden did was sign an executive order halting the Keystone XL pipeline and commencing an attack on the Oil Producing Industry of the United States to appease the far-left progressive “New Green Deal” agenda. This act reduced the United States from being an energy-independent nation to a nation once again dependent on OPEC. It gave OPEC control over setting the price of gasoline, which has since doubled in price. Instead of the United States being able to supply Europe with its needed supply of energy at this crucial time, Europe is forced to be dependent on Russia for its energy needs; this enriches Putin with Billions of dollars, which supports his barbaric, evil war on Ukraine, killing innocent children and civilians and annihilating entire cities.

At the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, President Biden imposed sanctions on the Russian Nord Stream Pipeline, which he lifted a few months prior. To start with, he made the mistake of thinking you could be nice to a monster like Putin. It was unconscionable that he would remove sanctions on the Nord Stream pipeline to begin with while halting construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. It appeared that he was more concerned about appeasing Putin than serving the interests of Americans.

Instead of being a nation of opportunity with security, liberty, dignity, honor, integrity, and respect, the present Administration, in my opinion, has reversed all those things. Opportunity has gone out the window with inflation around 8%, a 40- year high, with no sign of abating. Instead of addressing the issue of sky-high inflation, the President is re-appointing, for another four-year term, the very same Federal Reserve officials who helped to create inflation in the first place.

Governmental giveaways have been instrumental in destroying the labor market, making it nearly impossible to find workers, resulting in some businesses closing their doors; this, like the domino effect, has engineered a supply chain crisis. Also, we have a health crisis in this country that has continued for over two years now, which shows not a lot has been done to resolve it. On top of all that, the Administration continues to impose new regulations, threaten new taxes and insists on setting unintelligible public health policies that have proven to be effective only to make it more difficult for small and medium-sized businesses to operate, which further damages the economy long term.

As far as security, I heard the President compare the refugees in Europe, resulting from the Ukrainian war, to the illegal migrants crossing our open southern border; it is far from being comparable; the Ukrainian refugees are escaping for their very lives, while there are all kinds of security risks at the southern border with criminals, child trafficators, terrorists and drug cartels, entering this country unmediated.

Drugs flowing across the border are killing an estimated 289 people each day, mostly young people; eleven- and twelve-year old children are being found dead in their beds from an overdose. Fentanyl is one of the deadliest drugs crossing the border daily. Just a small amount that you can hold in the palm of your hand could kill up to 15,000 people. The ingredients for this drug are shipped from China to Mexico. Strangely, you never hear the President warn China, and there is no indication that he mentioned it in His call to China’s president recently concerning this deadly drug, which is a chemical attack on the citizens of America. The border crisis continues to grow, and the present Administration is wholly ignoring it. Here are the latest statistics on the border crisis:

• In 2021, under the Bidin Administration, ICE (Immigration Customs Enforcement Agency) issued 46% fewer detainers than it had in 2020, even though there were far more illegal border crossings. That means 46% fewer arrests than the year before. Why was that the case? They were bussed or flown to locations across the United States and released.
• In 2021, ICE arrested 48% fewer convicted alien criminals. That means many more criminals are crossing the southern border into the United States to commit their crimes here.
• In 2021, ICE deported 63% fewer criminal aliens. They are being released into the United States, making it more dangerous to go anywhere day or night.

           Those statistics are enough to make voters angry and want a change in the November election.

The present administration seems oblivious to the rising crime all across America. The “defund the police” movement, along with liberal judges who are soft on crime, has created a crisis beyond that of the past few decades. Murder, carjacking, and other crimes have increased dramatically. In the meantime, the Biden administration continues to nominate the most radical, liberal judges to Federal courts, who get the approval of nearly every Democrat in Congress. The new nominee for the Supreme Court, Ketanji Brown Jackson, is another example of Bidin nominating the most radical liberal he can find. He has the tendency to appoint or nominate people based on their color and gender rather than their qualifications; the inept Vice President Kamala Devi Harris is a prime example.

President Bidin has brought the most shame and disgrace upon America by the hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan without sufficient time to make adequate preparations. American citizens and allies were left behind along with tens of billions of dollars of taxpayer-funded military equipment.

Some have blamed President Bidin for the war in Ukraine, but I don’t believe he caused it. Putin has made it clear for years, and as recent as last December, what his intentions were, and that was to reinstate the former Russian empire. I listened today on CNN as retired Army general, Major General Paul Eaton, reiterated Vladimir Putin’s goal: “Putin wants Ukraine. He wants the Baltic States. He wants control of Eastern Europe. He wants to shutter NATO. He wants the United States out. China is with Russia to interrupt the international system.” Gen. Jack Keane recently said, “The Biden administration doesn’t want Putin to lose, fearing it may usher in the third world war.” General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, said, “We are entering a world that is becoming more unstable, and the potential for significant international conflict between great powers is increasing, not decreasing. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine threatens not only European peace and stability but global peace and stability that my parents and a generation of Americans fought so hard to defend,”

In 2022 we are witnessing what could be a history changer. The United States now has the opportunity to help Ukraine to win the war by supplying them with all the equipment they need; however, Washington has not been willing to do that so far, fearing it will aggravate Putin and escalate the war. I don’t believe this is a rational approach. If Putin wins Ukraine, it seems apparent that it will motivate him to continue his aggressive behavior, and it also encourages China to invade Taiwan.

Another question that needs an answer Mr. President is why did you promise America a “steady hand” in government and a return to a bipartisan state of governing and then go the opposite direction? You promised a moderate form of government but instead reverted to appease the “New Green Deal” Maniacs. Is this all the wisdom and guidance that 50 years of experience got you?

What about the liberty guaranteed by the constitution, the right to decide for ourselves, and the right to educate our children in a way that meets our convictions instead or being told by the government what is best?

Where are the dignity and respect Mr. President? You promised America in your inaugural address, “We must end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, rural versus urban, conservative versus liberal.” You have done the opposite by imposing the radical “New Green Deal” agenda and calling those who oppose you “White Supremacists.” You have constantly referred to anything opposing your legislation as Jim Crow 2.0. The FBI has been called upon to investigate parents as domestic terrorists who question the Critical Race Theory.

What has happened to the honor that is supposed to define the office of the presidency of the United States of America? The Administration publicly embraces Marxist ideologies while the world stands in amazement and shock at the absurdity of the US government and its inept leaders. During this Administration, the Federal debt has reached an astounding $30 trillion. Can a debt that size ever be repaid, or will it bankrupt the nation?

What about telling the truth? President Biden said during his inaugural speech, “each of us has a duty and responsibility, as citizens, as Americans. . . to defend the truth and to defeat the lies.” Yet, the Biden administration has been filled with lies about the economy, inflation, the high price of energy, and the pandemic. The mainstream media has reinforced the ridiculous propaganda while they absurdly claim to be objective and unbiased.

The Federal Government wants to control voting on the local and state level and do away with requiring identification for voting. Proving your identity is necessary even for minor issues. Why would it not be necessary for voting when it increases voting security and reduces voter fraud. If you disagree with the Biden Administration on voting bills or any other of their bills, you are called a racist.

Democrats are getting worried as President Biden’s polls drop: “It’s bad,” said one Democratic strategist. “You have an energy crisis that’s paralyzing, and inflation is at a 40-year high and we’re heading into a recession. The problem is simple. The American people have lost confidence in him.” 

One other thing: For a couple of years now, the liberal media have ignored the charges that Hunter Bidin was involved in unlawful business dealings with foreign countries, even suggesting it was all false, like chasing something down a rabbit hole. Lately, however, as the evidence grows, the media has back peddled. One CNN reporter said it looked like it could be bad for Hunter Biden. The Grand Jury continues to investigate the allegations of wrongdoing and will decide whether to indite Hunter Biden.

Hunter Bidin’s laptop could include emails related to the President, although the President has said on several occasions that he never discussed his son’s business with him. All of the issues brought out so far have not yet been proven in a court of law. I don’t think it will ever go to trial even if there is an inditement. I believe the President would pardon his son, so the truth would never be proven. However, that would finish the President, and he would be forced to resign. I hope that does not happen because who is next in line for the presidency? You are right, Camila Harris. God forbid that should happen.

If you are one of those who still places your faith in Almighty God, please pray that God will bring this nation to its knees, if necessary, that the government will once again be as it was in the beginning, a country ruled by the people and for the people, and a people who stand by the slogan printed on our currency, “In God we Trust.”
