When I understood it was necessary to write a bio about myself, I realized that it could come across as bragging about my accomplishments, experiences, and personal qualities and could turn others off. So, I had to think about how to write it without making it seem like bragging. I thought about a Bible verse that the Apostle Paul wrote: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” I decided to use the opposite of that: “I can do nothing without the Lord’s help.” So it is with that attitude that I’m sharing with you today.

Here are twelve things about me:

  1. I’ve been writing since 2010, particularly for my website, where I have published hundreds of articles on Christian Personal Development.
  2. I have just published a book (Left click to view) “A New Self in 90 Days,” with Westbow Press, a Thomas Nelson & Zondervan division. The book is now available in bookstores worldwide, on Amazon, and on the Web.
  3. I have two other books nearly ready for publication: ‘The Last Days and Killing of Jesus” and a Christian novel, “Perfect Love.” In addition to that, I have two short stories nearly ready to publish.
  4. I am a retired pastor.
  5. I have served as CEO of my own company.
  6. I Graduated with honors from Midsouth Bible College/Crichton College, Memphis, Tennessee, and was honored to be listed on the National Dean’s List. I earned a BS Degree majoring in Organization & Administration and the Bible.
  7. I am a certified teacher for Christian schools.
  8. I served with the Arkansas Army National Guard for six years.
  9. I have traveled to all fifty states, most major cities, Puerto Rico, and several foreign countries, including, most recently, Germany and Israel.
  10. I am married and have two children and four grandchildren.
  11. I had a small speaking part in the movie “Proud Heart.”
  12. My purpose in life is to help others through my writing.

My greatest accomplishment in life is building a relationship with God, who is my power and my strength. I can relate to the Apostle Paul, who said, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20). I am thankful for my relationship with God for I realize without Him I would be nothing and have no hope.
